There are 2 types of CPF Housing Grants available for first-timer applicants of HDB Flats:
A first-timer applicant (including all other co-applicants and essential occupiers) refers to one whom have not received any housing subsidy from HDB previously. This means that the applicant must NOT have:
The amount of AHG and/or SHG receivable will depend on the average gross monthly household income for the 12 months prior to you submitting your flat application. For eligible young couples, Deferred Income Assessment may be granted to allow their application for a flat first having their income assessed nearer to their key collection appointment. The disbursement of these grants will be via crediting into the CPF Ordinary Account of the eligible applicant.
No cash will be disbursed. Eligible applicants can use these grants to either offset the purchase price of the flat or to reduce the mortgage loan taken up for the flat purchase.
